How Often Should Plugs be Replaced?

Most manuals will recommend 30,000, 60,000, or 100,000 miles. It is important to check your manual though as different manufacturers have different instructions as to the maintenance schedules for their makes. Many times, only one spark plug will be bad, but it’s best to change all at the same time. Otherwise, you may have continual issues with your vehicle. The number of spark plugs your engine has corresponds to the number of cylinders. A four-cylinder engine will usually have four spark plugs. A V8 engine will have eight spark plugs.
